How does Botox® work?
Botox® causes muscle relaxation by blocking secretion of a required enzyme (acetylcholine) needed for muscle contraction. It has been used for many years to treat other medical conditions like cervical dystonia and neuromuscular disorders.

How long does Botox® last?

What are the side effects of Botox®?
The most common side effects of Botox® include headache and redness and/or swelling at the injection site. These symptoms are mild and typically resolve within a few hours after your treatment. There are rare cases where flu-like symptoms, muscle weakness around the injection, and drooping of the eyelids have been reported. These symptoms resolved within a few days after treatment.
